Andrew’s experience in financial services began 20 years ago.  He spent his early years in banking in Sydney, before moving to Brisbane and joining a local financial planning firm. He commenced studies in Finance and Investment, resulting in becoming a Certified Financial Planner over a decade ago, furthered by a Masters of Applied Finance in more recent years.

Prior to Tynans, he worked for boutique firms as a Private Client Adviser, providing strategic advice and ongoing wealth management strategies to private clients.

Andrew specialises in advising private clients on superannuation, estate planning, portfolio construction and ongoing investment and wealth management.

Ben has been working as a financial adviser since 1999 and has gained extensive experience throughout this time. Over his career he has helped clients through periods of significant market turmoil as well as strong equity bull markets. He has worked in boutique planning firms, a top tier accounting organisation and a large financial institution.

Ben provides strategic advice and wealth management strategies to successful private clients. He specialises in superannuation and defined benefit schemes, super contribution strategies, personal taxation, portfolio construction and ongoing wealth management.

Bruce is a recently retired Inspector of the Queensland Police Service having served 40 years across the State including extended periods in the Torres Strait, Canungra, Cape York, Cairns and finally Gold Coast.  He was also seconded for an extended period in a senior position to the Australian Federal Police with the Regional Assistance Mission Solomon Islands (RAMSI), working with police from 15 Pacific nations with the aim to restore peace and order to that country.  

As a strong supporter of community policing and initiatives, he has been involved with Rotary since 2012 which has included roles as past president of the Broadbeach Club, Assistant Governor overseeing seven Clubs in Rotary District 9640 and was the team leader of a Group Vocational Exchange to Rotary District 3780 in Quezon City, Phillipines.

Having such a diverse service background, and now based in the Gold Coast area, Bruce is committed to supporting all police personnel succeeding in their professional and personal goals, including working with specialists to ensure their future is enriched and is a reward for their dedication and commitment to serving the people in the diverse areas in which they work.  He enjoys fishing and travelling wherever possible and getting the most out of life.

Christine commenced working with top tier accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand, as a graduate accountant. She completed her Chartered Accountant qualifications there, while advising clients on personal and small business taxation issues.

She then joined Tynan Mackenzie as a paraplanner before moving into a Client Service Adviser position providing ongoing financial advice to high net worth individuals.  Christine led the Client Service team at Tynan Mackenzie before taking extended maternity leave, during which she continued to provide taxation services to the firm's clients.

As the founder of Tynan Mackenzie in 1994, and with over 30 years’ experience, David has established himself as a leader in the financial services industry.

David’s career began in 1968 at the long established share broking firm of Tynan & Co. After completing a university degree and his post-graduate Professional Year studies, he was admitted as Taxation Partner of the major international accounting firm, Touche Ross & Co (now KPMG), advising private clients on a wide range of investment and taxation issues. Prior to establishing Tynan Mackenzie, David was appointed State Manager of a major investment bank.

Dennis recently retired from the Queensland Police Service at the rank of Inspector, having served almost 38 years. His career included both metropolitan and county service, with the predominant amount of this time spent in his beloved Far North.

Dennis is a Life Member of the Queensland Police Union of Employees, being elected for almost 20 years within the organisation as a Branch Official,  Regional Representative, General Vice President. He performed the role of Acting General President for about 2 years. Dennis was a QSuper Trustee in 2007/08 and is acutely aware of superannuation and the immense importance of superannuation to the Police.

George’s career in accounting and financial services commenced more than a decade ago as a Chartered Accountant working for top tier firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers and BDO where he completed his Certificate of Chartered Accounting gaining extensive experience advising large corporate clients.

Following this, he joined a boutique private wealth firm in Brisbane as a Senior Adviser providing strategic advice and ongoing wealth management to successful private clients.

George specialises in advising private clients on superannuation & defined benefit funds, taxation, estate planning, portfolio construction and ongoing wealth management.

Hugh was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) until his retirement in 2006. During this time, he led their Taxation Services practice in Brisbane.

Appointed to the Governing Council of the Queensland University of Technology in February 2005, Hugh was subsequently appointed Deputy Chancellor for a term of two years from February 2010. He is also the Chairman of the Planning and Resources Committee, and the Chancellors Committee, and past member of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Committee.

He is the Compliance Director and Investment Committee member of Calow Nominees Pty Ltd, which is the Responsible Entity for White & Partners Management Investment Schemes involving direct property investment.

John retired after 48 years with Australia Post. His career covered a number of managerial positions across Human Resource Management, Operations, Logistics and National Customer Management at the Corporate Level.

Since retirement he has engaged in relationship management positions within boutique financial firms in Brisbane.

John has enjoyed International travel as well as travel within Australia over recent years. He also enjoys cycling and spending time with family and friends.

Julian has worked within the financial services industry for over ten years, with a strong background in banking services and superannuation. His genuine passion for delivering quality customer service, and educating the clients he has worked with over the years has led him to the financial planning industry.

Born in Spain, Julian moved to Australia at a young age with his parents and finally settled in the small township of Beaudesert, before moving to Brisbane as a young adult, where he has called home ever since.

Krisztina holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Commerce) and a Diploma in Financial Planning Krisztina and joined Tynans after 10 years at Westpac working in various roles from retail banking to financial planning.

Krisztina is passionate about providing expert guidance to all valued clients. She is driven by providing an exceptional client service experience, viewing every interaction as an opportunity to build relationships and foster loyalty. 

In her downtime Krisztina pursues an active lifestyle. One of her favourite activities is taking (and teaching) dance classes and passing on her knowledge and skills to the younger generation. She also loves travelling and spending time in nature.

Lauren’s career in financial planning commenced over a decade ago when she began working for one of Australia’s leading stockbroking firms, ABN AMRO Morgans (now RBS Morgans).

Lauren completed her studies in Sydney, graduating with degrees in both Property Economics (Commercial Valuation major) and Applied Finance (Financial Planning major), before relocating to Brisbane in 2007. 

Lauren joined a boutique firm in 2010, working as a Private Client Adviser with the organisation until 2017.   

Throughout her career, Lauren has pursued her desire to help people by educating and empowering clients, to make sensible financial decisions.

Margaret has been working in the financial services industry for the last 15 years. Prior to joining the financial services industry Margaret provided high level administrative support and client service within the medical, hospitality and travel industries throughout Australia.

Mark commenced his career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1987 where he became a Senior Manager in the Private Client Services Division giving advice to wealthy individuals and private groups.

In 1996, he joined Tynan Mackenzie as a Senior Adviser to private clients, specialising in complex tax and superannuation strategies. In addition to his position as a Senior Adviser, Mark was a member of the Investment Committee and the CFO of Tynan Mackenzie.

Michael’s early life was spent in Cairns, Mackay and Townsville. Michael joined Queensland Police in 1983. Over his service he was stationed at Mackay, Townsville, Townsville CIB, Palm Island CIB, State Crime Operations Command, and CCC  Detective Sergeant Michael Kelly retired from State Dignitary Protection in 2024 after over 40 years service.

Michael has held board positions on The Townsville Golf Club, Executive Member (HQ and Support) Queensland Police Union and is a past president of The Rotary Club of Brisbane. As a police union offical, Michael was an active proponent for maintaining superannuation entitlements of Police and the security of Queensland Public Service fund more widely. Through his advocacy on Enterprise Bargaining police members enjoy improved pay, allowances and entitlements including superannuation.

Michael continues to assist serving and retired police. He is committed to supporting members welfare, well-being and financial security whilst they are in ‘the job’ and after their service. 

He is Brisbane-based but enjoys travelling and adventures including International Rugby Union events as a committed but long suffering Australian Wallabies fan.

Nick has over 25 years’ experience in funds management and financial services with a proven track record of supporting advisers and their clients, and running medium to large size financial planning practices.

After 8 years in sales and adviser management functions at BT and MLC, in 2003 Nick joined ipac Securities in a role that delivered unique run, grow and exit solutions to self employed financial advisers.  This led to becoming QLD State Manager for ipac in 2010 which encompassed leadership and management of a number of medium to large advice firms, all of which were part of the ipac Qld community.   In 2017, Nick left ipac and joined Fitzpatricks as Director, taking on Board positions and supporting the growth ambitions of 6 large advice firms located across Australia. In July 2023, Nick was invited to provide consulting services to Tynans Advice, culminating in Nick becoming General Manager in January 2024.

Nick holds a Bachelor of International Business, a Masters of Applied Finance and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Shane is a seasoned banking and finance professional with 18 years of Lending and Banking experience. Suzie has more than 25 years of experience providing executive support to CEOs and Association Presidents in a range of contexts, both corporate and not-for-profit

For more than a decade Suzie worked in the education sector for the Queensland Association of State School Principals (QASSP). QASSP’s expansive membership extends from the Gold Coast to Torres Strait which allowed her to develop a strong network of relationships across the education sector and beyond.  In her role of Partnerships Manager with QASSP, Suzie acquired, cultivated and advanced relationships with Business Partners to ensure mutually compatible collaborations.
